Seminyak has also a good range of places to stay, from luxurious villas to world class resorts like the Oberoi to more humble hotels hidden away on backstreets. This area is also the start of villa land, which runs north from here through the vanishing rice fields. Nowadays there are more tourists visiting this popular resident of expatriates. The atmosphere in Seminyak is sophisticated and laid-back. The beach in Seminyak is as deep and sandy as in Kuta but less crowded during the day.

The easy access points to the beach are at the end of Jalan Dhyana Pura, and from the large public car park between Petitenget Temple.
The temple “Pura Petitenget” at the beachside of Jalan Petitenget built since at least the 16th century. This pretty temple is known for spectacular beach side ceremonies. Along Jalan Legian to Jalan Oberoi you will find the most interesting clothing shops. These streets are home to dozens of absolutely fabulous and unique boutiques. Quite expensive but still cheap for European standards. With the nice sandy beach, innumerable 5 stars restaurants, bars, clubs, luxurious villas and trendy shops, Seminyak feels like another island in Bali.
